NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Holmes County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 9:00a.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard at the Holmes County Board of County Commissioners office located at 107 E Virginia Ave, Bonifay, FL 32425.
Pursuant to Section 163.3177 (6)(i) F.S., the following represents the Property Rights Goals, Objectives, and Policies of Holmes County and the municipalities of Esto, Noma, Ponce de Leon and Westville.
Goal 10.0: Protection of Private Property Rights
Objective 10-1: The County and municipalities respect judicially acknowledged and constitutionally protected property rights and will ensure private property rights are protected and considered in the decision-making processes.
Policy 10-1a: The following rights shall be considered in the County and municipality decision making:
a) The right of a property owner to physically possess and control his or her interests in the property, including easements, leases, or mineral rights.
b) The right of a property owner to use, maintain develop, and improve his or her property for personal use or for the use of any other person, subject to state law and local ordinance.
c) The right of the property owner to privacy and to exclude others from the property to protect the owner's possessions and property.
d) The right of a property owner to dispose of his or her property through sale or gift.
Proposed project(s) or plan amendment(s) may be inspected by the public from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday at Holmes County Board of County Commissioners office located at 107 E Virginia Ave, Bonifay, FL 32425.
Interested parties may appear at the public hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed project(s) or plan amendment(s).
In accordance with Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, whenever any board of commissioner of any state agency or authority, or of any agency or authority of any county, municipal corporation, or other political subdivision, which has scheduled a meeting at which official acts are to be taken receives, at least 48
hours prior to the meeting, a written request by a physically handicapped person to attend the meeting directed to the chairperson or director of such board, commission, agency, or authority, such chairperson or director shall provide a manner by which such person may attend the meeting at its scheduled site or
reschedule the meeting to a site which would be accessible to such person.
In accordance with Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, all persons are advised that, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
