PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS

SOLICITATION OF SEALED BIDS FOR HOUSING REHABILITATION & NEW HOME BUILDS INCLUDING ONE MANUFACTURED HOME

A Pre-Bid Conference for both rehabilitation and new home builds, along with one manufactured home project will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 9:00 AM at the Washington County Administration BOCC Conference Room, located at 1331 South Blvd, Chipley Florida, for projects at:

1868 Crepe Myrtle Lane, Chipley

2380 A River Road, Caryville

2213 Christy Lane, Chipley

1655 Old Mill Road, Chipley

Bid packages for rehabilitation and new home builds will be given to only the principal signers of the contracting companies attending the pre-bid conference. You must be present at the bid meeting before 9:00am; anyone arriving after 9:00am will not be permitted to participate. You will be asked to submit and/or update current copies of your contractor's license, business license and insurance. After a brief meeting at the Washington County Administration Building, group mandatory walkthroughs will be held at each residence on the list. Any contractor not remaining with the group and failing to be present at each property within 10 minutes of the group will not be permitted to bid.

Sealed bids will be received at the Washington County Administration Building, located at 1331 South Blvd, Chipley Florida, office beginning Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 12:00 PM until Thursday February 3, 2022, at 9:30 A.M. at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud, at the Washington County Administration Conference Room, for rehabilitation, new homes and one preferred manufactured home. Contractors may submit stick-built home bids for the one manufactured preferred home. Manufactured home contractors may not submit bids for the two stick-built home properties.

For bids to be considered, all contractors must follow Bid Packet Information Requirements received at the Pre-Bid Conference which includes: all itemized costs, total bid cost, must be in ink, and must be signed by the submitting contractor in separate envelopes designating the property address. Any bid that does not meet these requirements and those requested in the Bid Packet may not be considered. ECRC and/or Washington County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. FAXED copies will not be accepted. Closing dates for rehabilitation and new home builds (including the manufactured preferred home) will be at the above location on February 17, 2022, beginning at 9:30am, specific times to be announced.
